The Psychedelic Salon
by Justin on Nov.19, 2009, under Blogs, Justin Talley, Uncategorized
One of our favorite and most-listened-to podcasts on the web today is the Psychedelic Salon, created and maintained by Lorenzo. The Salon features the most mind-boggling and insightful recordings from the elders of the psychedelic society such as Terence McKenna, Rupert Sheldrake, Ralph Abraham, Timothy Leary, Bruce Damer, and a host of others. Some of the best recordings come from the Palenque Norte lectures and his Burning Man materials.
Lorenzo has also released a gripping semi-autobiographical audiobook, The Genesis Generation, which has the quality of being listened to an infinite number of times and still gleaning new information.

Leave a Comment more...Marble Blast Mobile
by Justin on Jun.17, 2009, under Blogs, Justin Talley, iPhone App Review
Visit Garage Games’ website here.
Read a great developer interview concerning the game at Garage Games Blog Developer Interview Series.
Marble Blast Mobile walks a fine balance between being a casual game and keeping elements that immerse more in-depth gamers. I’ve never had the patience (or hand eye coordination) to stick with action-puzzlers, but MBM somehow wrangled me in and I finished the game in one night. It uses some very clever power-ups to keep level design interesting, my favorite being the gyrocopter, which lets you fly your marble short distances. Tapping your marble lets you jump over short obstacles.
Hybrid Lexus explodes in West Memphis AR, FBI Investigates

I work for the local paper here in West Memphis, and this is basically all the building has been talking about in low voices today. Like basically everyone else here, Dr. Pierce has been my family doctor for a while now. Even stranger, I had just brought up his name in conversation yesterday. Strange because I haven’t seen Dr. Peirce in at least a year because I, like so many, don’t have any kind of Health insurance. Oh well, I suppose there’s always the Coast to Coast Health Stop over by the truck stop, as seen below.

Update: Apparently it was a hand grenade under the hood? I don’t know if I want to believe that kind of rubbish yet.
He is still alive, despite comments popping up on the internet.
Here are the pics I grabbed from our editor.
